about

This is a suite of pieces that expresses my response to the the experience of living in Jerusalem in 2009/10.

The suite incorporates field recordings, rhythms and ideas from the experience.

IV - The Shuk - Samples of the jewish market, percussionist, piyutim, string 4tet plus electric guitar

V - Flightless Bird - Samples of Palestinian singer, string 4tet

VI - I Want To Tell You A Secret - String 4tet, percussion loops plus electric guitar

VII - Cactus. Ow - String 4tet plus child vocalist

VIII - Jerusalem Mash-Up - Samples from the String 4tet recordings, loops, electric guitar, plus some Simon Polarski wizardry in the mix.
